House Tours

Housing is the part of this game I am least able to be sensible about. A plot comes up, a lottery opens, and I lose a fortnight to deciding whether a wall needs a shelf on it.

These are the tours. Room by room, with the item lists where I have them, the mistakes left in, and an honest count of how many times a single lamp was moved before it was allowed to stay. If you are building something of your own and want ideas rather than a showroom, this is the shelf to browse.

Ward 22, Plot 28: A Lavender Beds House That Was Already the Shire

For two years I decorated around a contradiction. Then I moved worlds, entered one more lottery as number three, and on the seventeenth of August a large plot in the Lavender Beds came home with me. No paper screens to argue with, no translating — just a wooded glade that had been waiting to be the Shire the whole time.
