For two years I decorated around a contradiction. Then I moved worlds, entered one more lottery as number three, and on the seventeenth of August a large plot in the Lavender Beds came home with me. No paper screens to argue with, no translating — just a wooded glade that had been waiting to be the Shire the whole time.

I Was Never Going to Be a Lalafell
I was very clear about it. Lalafells were fine, from a distance, and I would never, ever be one. Then I noticed the hugging, and the little squads, and a row of tiny hats bouncing through Frontline on chocobos, and something in me quietly stopped arguing.
